An entry will not be considered complete until all money, signatures, emergency contact phone number, and a copy of a current Negative Coggins are received by the Secretary. Entries will not be assigned a ride time until entry is considered complete. Entries must be postmarked by close date or be subject to a post entry fee of $50. Fees

Checks should be made to QPEE. Paypal/credit cards may be accepted for a fee – contact secretary for more information. Entry Fees: M, T, N, BN, SN = $415, Intro = $350 if payment is postmarked on or before Closing Date; $50 late fee if payment is postmarked after Closing Date. Stabling and two bags of initial shavings are included with your entry. Entries postmarked before April 1st can withdraw until April 29 for refund. Shavings = $12.00/ bag Tack Stall = $150.00. Early Arrival/Late Departure Stall Day Rate = $50/Night. Non-competing horse = $200/weekend. Stabling facility rules do not allow for haul-ins or outside shavings. Cleanout fee for outside shavings runs over $100. Past experience has been that bags are not as compacted as other bagged shavings. Refunds: Refunds will be provided, less the $25 non-refundable office fee, if received before 9:00 p.m. CST on Closing Date. Please notify the Secretary by e-mail. After 9:00 p.m. CST on Closing Date, No Refunds! Complete Entries postmarked before April 1st will have until April 29th to withdraw. Competition Cancellation = No refunds. USEA Starter/D&M Fee Refund Policy: USEA Starter/D&M fee ($35) is not subject to office fees and shall be returned within 30 days of the competition.

Entries

Entry fees include a $25 non-refundable office fee. XC Pinny Insert Holder required for ALL divisions. Double entries are not accepted. All competitors must be USEA members, except Starter and Intro. Starter riders are exempt from all USEA fees (Starter/Drugs/Membership/Non-Membership). Riders will be limited to two horses per division. $40 charge for checks returned for non-sufficient funds. Entry limit 150. Levels may be divided as entries warrant. State your preferences under the Eligibility Section and include birth date on entry. Negative Coggins, dated within 12 months, required for all horses. Original Coggins report required at event. The State of MO requires all out-of-state horses to have a Current Health Certificate. Riders competing at the Modified level will also be responsible for paying the $8.00 USEF Administration Fee when entering the event. Riders, owners, and trainers competing at the Modified level need to register with the USEF and complete SafeSport training. If a rider or owner competing at the Modified level does not wish to register with the USEF, they have the option of paying the $45.00 USEF Show Pass fee at the event: A show pass fee will only be issued once. Trainers are required to register with the USEF; paying of the Show Pass fee does not apply. Horses do not have to be registered with the USEF to compete at the Modified level. Reminder: All USEF Life and Senior Active members, as well as participants who have regular contact with minor athletes, are required to comply with the U.S. Center for SafeSport training requirement, to be eligible to participate in the competition. All participants must adhere to the U.S. Center for SafeSport Code, USEF Safe Sport Policy, and the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies. All courses:varied terrain; gently rolling hills with excellent galloping tracks. Expect, but does not guarantee, water, banks, and ditches at all levels. Grasshopper will be a mix of cross rails and logs. Trailer parking is on grass. The park asks that we please not park trailers on paved lots, however all vehicles not pulling a trailer should park in the paved lot to ensure space for trailers and horses. Please help us respect our park and keep this venue – do not park on the paved trail and for the safety of the general public and your horses, please do not tie your horses in such a way that they can stand on the paved trail. Cross Country Course is currently closed with a public Schooling Day on April 13th, weather permitting.

Hummingbird Stables is sponsoring The School Horse award for the highest placed lesson horse in the competition. The Oldest Horse Award in memory of Casper for the oldest horse to complete the competition.

Stabling/Veterinarian

STABLING:Stalls are available from 10:30 a.m. Friday to Monday 9:00 a.m. and are included in your entry. If you need to arrive before that time or stay longer, please pre-arrange and pre-pay with secretary; cost is $52/night. All stalls are approximately 10' by 10' and will include a stall door, electric outlet for one box fan and two bags of initial shavings. Pre-order extra shavings with your entry or with the secretary for $12/bag. All initial and pre-ordered shavings will be delivered to your stall prior to arrival. Additional shavings may be purchased on-site with the facility at their current rates. Facility office hours are 8am - 4pm and show management does not have access to shavings.Outside shavings are not allowed by the facility; they assess a $125 cleanout fee on anyone utilizing outside bedding. The NEC does not allow haul-ins or horses tied to trailers; the facility assesses a $100 fine for each occurrence, so please respect their rules. VETERINARIAN: MidRivers Equine, 636-332-5373. Fee is $200. Dogs must be leashed under NEC and St. Louis County Park Ordinances. Park Rangers will be there to enforce rules. The Cross-Countrycourse is about 1/2 mile or 20-minutewalk from Secretary Tent. Competitors and Trainers are welcome to bring their own golf carts to Queeny Park. The park does not allow 4-wheelers or motorized bikes. QPEE will provide shuttles on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from the parking lot to the Cross-Country venue. Please respect our park and help us keep this venue - all trash and any manure not on grass should be removed. Please also follow all signs for horse trails to make sure both you and the general public remain safe.

SUBCHAPTER EV-9 DRESS
1. PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR.
a. At Federation licensed and endorsed Events, Athletes must wear headgear as follows, except as may otherwise be mandated by local law (see also GR801)
b. Upon arrival, anyone riding a Horse must wear properly fitting protective headgear. The harness must be secured and properly fitted. See GR801.
