Tentative Schedule

Thurs: Cross-Country Course Open to walk-3 pm. YEH: 12 pm. Dressage Tests of Choice: 9:00-5:00. Show Jumping Tests of Choice:10:30-3:30 Starter to Modified. $40 per test, online signup will be available Monday week of the show. 3 Day: Educational Activities & Steeplechase Schooling, see website for more details. FEI Arrival Exams: 12 pm.
Fri: Dressage 8 am.
Sat: SJ: 10:30 (AI/ACT/CCI-S/I/P/M); XC: 8:30 (T/N/BN/Starter)
Sun: XC: 8:30 (P/I/CCI-S/M); SJ: 8:00 (T/N/BN/Starter)
Entrieswill be limited due to limited daylight and stabling. Plan to enter early!

Entries

Entry fees include $25 non-refundable office fee. Entries/payment postmarked after Closing Date $50 post entry fee. Post Entries may be accepted based on space availability. Double entries: Not accepted. Any changes after CD: $25 change fee. Returned Check Fee $40.00. Starter competitors: USEA membership and non-member fees are not required and Starter/D&M fee does not apply. CT-USEA non-members must pay a $25 USEA non-member fee with entry.Starter/D&M fee does not apply. We are using re-usable pinneys: You may provide your own pinney or purchase one for $20.00. No Canadian Checks. Attention US riders:Entries for ALL FEI competitions must be submitted to the FEI through the USEF online entry system https://www.usef.org/_AUAIFrames/FEI/Entry/Default.aspx or they will not be considered complete. There is no fee to submit an entry through this system. AthletesMUSTalso enter the events (and pay the entry fees) through the normal entry process. Please also pay close attention to the closing date in the FEI Definite Schedule. Foreign riders need to contact their National Federation. All horses must have their vaccine records submitted to:2024 Horse Trials Equine Influenza and Equine Herpes Vaccinationand with them to enter show grounds. PER USEF GR845 horses must have been vaccinated for Equine Influenza Virus and Equine Herpes Virus within 6 months of entering show grounds! Out of State Horses: copy of current neg. Coggins within 12 months and Certificate of Veterinary Inspection within 30 days; not required for in-state horses. Reminder: All USEF Life and Senior Active members, as well as participants who have regular contact with minor athletes, are required to comply with the U.S. Center for SafeSport training requirement, to be eligible to participate in the competition. All participants must adhere to the U.S. Center for SafeSport Code, USEF Safe Sport Policy, and the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies. AI/I: 3200m @ 550mpm, 22-28 obstacles. P: 2800-3200m @ 520 mpm 24-32 obstacles. M:2800-3200m @ 470 m/min 22-26 obstaclesT: 2200-2500m @ 450 mpm, 22-24 obstacles. N: 1800-2200m @ 400 mpm, 16-20 obstacles. BN: 1500-2000m @ 350 mpm 14-18 obstacles. Starter: 1200-1600m @ 300 mpm 14-18 obstacles 2'3" max. Footing is sandy loam grass fields and dirt trails with significantterrain changes and trees. Open fields and trails through wooded areas for all divisions. Includes banks, ditches and water forall. Starter and BN fences, someat maximum sizemay include versions of standard portable fences (cabin, table, oxers, etc.). Because of terrain these courses should be considered somewhat challenging for the level.P, M, T and Nalso have some maximum size fences with terrain changes but these courses can be considered more standard for the levels. Awards

Ribbons 1st-10th. Prizes 1st-10th. $1,200 SSHF certificate for each FEI class. Write your sponsor thank you and pick up your award in the show office. Monetary TIPS awards so register your TB. Equisave Rescue Horse ribbons to highest rescued horse per level. Must be registered and number presented before start of competition for both TIP and Rescue.

Stabling/Veterinarian

Stabling: 12'x12' limited permanent stalls, with full doors, additional 10'x10' portable stalls with full doors, $205 for the week, 12 pm Wednesday to 9am Monday. Tack stalls may be available in the portable stabling, space allowed, $195. Two initial bags of shavings provided additional available for purchase, $15/bag. Stalls may not be altered in any manner. Horses hauling in for the show must pay the $40.00 grounds fee per horse. ONLY horses entered in the show are to be on the grounds, unless special arrangements have been made with Secretary. Veterinarians: Dr. Jennifer Earnest. McKinlay and Peters Equine Farrier: Tully Kasparek Thurs & Friday;Cody Millholland Saturday & Sunday.

Accommodations

Motels: You may dry camp on the grounds. Limited number of electric only hook-ups available to Sponsors and volunteer, contact Gail if interested at [email protected]. There are multiple other hotels within 10 miles of the facility.

Other Information

Cross-country course closes on Monday, September 16. (cross country schooling by appointment only and depending on footing). Levels may be further divided/combined as entries warrant, state preferences under the Eligible Section and birth date on entry. No stabling changes without permission of secretary or $50 fine. Food vendor on grounds. Dogs are welcome but MUST be on short non retractable leashed. If caught loose a $50 fine and yellow warning card to owner. No unauthorized cars on course. No motorized vehicles allowed on Cross-Country Course. Electric bicycles only permitted on course when competition hours are not running Friday-Sunday. Bikes can only be ridden by individuals licensed for motorized vehicles. Do NOT drive on direct approach to fences to preserve footing. Only one ear bud in while operating a bike/motorized vehicle. No cardboard shavings/straw. No loud generators close to the main barn. Look for updates prior to the show on Facebook. Show Jumping is outdoor sand and rubber footing. Sharps container must be used per USEF rules. SUBCHAPTER EV-9 DRESS 1. PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR. a. At Federation licensed and endorsed Events, Athletes must wear headgear as follows, except as may otherwise be mandated by local law (see also GR801) b. Upon arrival, anyone riding a Horse must wear properly fitting protective headgear. The harness must be secured and properly fitted. See GR801. SSHF reserves the right to refuse entries per USEF GR Rule 913. “Every class offered herein which is covered by the rules and specifications of the current USEF rulebook will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith.”
