Aiken is North of Augusta, GA & South of Columbia, SC. From South-exit I-20 at exit 18 & take 19 south (right) to second light left on Hwy 118 (Rutland Dr) cross Hwy 302 and go left on Hwy 78. From North-exit I-20 at exit 22 & take Rte 1 South about 5mi go left on Hwy 118 (Rutland Dr) cross Hwy 302 and go left on Hwy 78. Note: From Town center About 1 mile from town center Hwy 78 exits to the right (was a fork in the road) From the West SDF is on the left 2.5mi from Montmorenci Fire Co. From the East SDF is on the right 1.3mi past Oakwood Elementary School.

Entries

Sporting Days Farm HT uses www.EVENTENTRIES.com for entries, scoring & live Scoring. Entry fees include a $25 non-refundable office fee. Include legible and current email address on entry. All correspondence from secretary will be via email. Double entries: Not accepted. Allriders must be a current Junior, Full, Collegiate or Full USEA Member, and horses must haveeither a Limited or Full Status.If oversubscribed with entries postmarked on Opening Day, multiple rides may be limited - please indicate order of preference. CT competitors must be a USEA member or pay the $25 USEA non-member fee with entry; USEA Starter/D&M fee does not apply. Greenie Beginnings(Intro) competitors are exempt from USEA membership and the USEA Starter/D&M fee does not apply. If entering electronically; payment, signature page and Coggins must be postmarked within 5 days of entering or entry will be considered incomplete and the entry will be assigned a postmark date at the time it is complete and payment is received.Riders and owners at Preliminary must send current copies of all USEF membership cards, or a $45 USEF Show Passfee will be charged. ANY entrypostmarkedafter Closing Date (December 19) will be considered a late entry and the $60 Late fee applies. Additionally, any electronic or faxed entry made prior to Closing Date must be COMPLETE within 5 days or will be considered a late entry and charged the $60 Late fee. Late fee policywill be strictly adhered to! Scratches/Changes must be in writing via mail, fax, email only. T/N/BN-The courses are intended to not only build confidence but to show the rider where the weak spots are.A number of maximum efforts. Banks, ditches & water at all appropriate levels.XC Course closed December 10 through the event, and otherwise only open during scheduled schooling times or by appointment with a minimum of 5 horses @ $60.00. Cross-country closed December 10th.

Awards

Trophy & 8 ribbons per division. $10 fee for mailing prizes. Winning riders must arrange a time to report to awards presentation area for Press photos in order to receive prizes and money. TIP awards are given at this event, please provide TIP numbers to the secretary.

$135 on grounds (limited permanent stalls- book early); Thursday 11 am to Sunday 8 am; $25/day after that. Stall doors & initial beddingprovided. Cross CountrySchooling on SUNDAY, January 7th - 10:30 AM - 2:00 PM. Volunteers Free, others $60.00. Weather and footing dependent. Information will be EMAILED OR on FACEBOOK AND OR WEBSITE www.SportingDaysFarm.com. Also if inclement weather please check the website for up to date XC schooling information. Food on grounds. Dogs must be leashed.Please note updates and changes to USEF rules, including all dogs MUST remain on leash and in control as per GR1301. If captured, $50 freedom fine to Aiken County SPCA. XC Course closed December 10 through the event, and after that only open during scheduled schooling times or by appointment with a minimum of 5 horses @$60.00. Levels may be divided/combined if entries warrant,state preferences under the Eligible Section and birth date on entry. Friday: 3:30pm to 5:30pm Welcome Reception in Palmetto Pavilion. Free to competitors, owners, officials & volunteers.

Volunteers please sign up at eventingvolunteers.com. Volunteers receive a XC School Pass as well as Pre-Event Volunteers for 6 hours help which can be accumulated in 3 hour blocks.

Minors who do not have a valid driver’s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver’s license. The parent/legal guardian or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for penalties against those responsible for the child committing the offense. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule. The unsafe use of personal electronic transport devices, as determined by the competition officials and management in their sole discretion, that do not require a driver’s license to operate, including but not limited to segways, hover boards, and single wheeled scooters is prohibited on competition grounds. Operating such devices in areas where people gather may be deemed “unsafe use” if there is a risk of harm to others. If the operator of the device is a minor, the parent/legal guardian or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating the device in violation of this rule is accountable and may be subject to penalties. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule.

SUBCHAPTER EV-9 DRESS 1. PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR. a. At Federation licensed and endorsed Events, Athletes must wear headgear as follows, except as may otherwise be mandated by local law (see also GR801): b. Upon arrival, anyone riding a Horse must wear properly fitting protective headgear. The harness must be secured and properly fitted. See GR801.

SHARPS CONTAINER: Competition management is responsible for placing Sharps containers in convenient locations on Competition grounds and replacing them when full. Competition Management may fine any individual up to $100 for improper disposal of needles or other sharp disposable instruments. Competition management will place notice of this requirement either in its prize list or on a specific handout given to trainers on check in at the competition. See GR1210.4 for complete details and please make sure the requirements for Sharps Containers are met at this competition.
