Directions: From I-90 take exit 279, Hwy 195 South Colfax-Pullman (Pullman Hwy) go 2 miles south on 195 thru flashing lights, under railroad overpass. Turn Right onto NEW Cheney-Spokane Rd. BYPASS exit. Wind around two (2) curves, start up hill (stay to right at Y). After Cemetery (.9 mi.) turn left on Sherman Rd, go up hill (1 mi. stay to right at Y), turn right (.8 mi.) into marked driveway. Indoor arena is visible from the road on the right. Please follow parking directions, do not block fire lanes, and please try to snuggle up to your neighbors.

Thurs: Cross-Country Course Open for walking 3pm. YEH classes after 12pm, unless entry numberrequires earlier start. Dressage Tests of Choice: 9:00-5:00. Show Jumping Tests of Choice: 10:30-11:30-Starter; 11:30-12:45-BN; 12:45-2:00-N; 2:00-3:10-T; 3:15-3:45-M; 3:45-4:00-P. $30 per test, sign up online Monday week of the show. Fri: Dressage (all divisions)-8 am. Sat: Cross-country (N/T/M/P/I/AI)-8am. Show Jumping (BN/Starter)-11am. Sun: Show Jumping (AI/I/P/M/T/N)-8am. Cross-Country (BN/Starter)-9 am. SSHF HT reserves the right to change the schedule based on entries. Enter Early! Permanent 12-12 stabling is limited and major sponsors have priority.

Starting Times

Starting Times: Available by May 8th on website. Times are subject to change. Final times will be on the rider packets. Sunday Show jumping will be reverse order of standing starting with A/I to N levels. Tentative Division Start times for show jumping will be posted Saturday evening, riders with multiple horses may go out of order. Be ready to go early as we will be rolling! Draw checks to SSHF, LLC. Entry: AI/I/P/M: $325.00; T, N, BN, Starter: $305.00.YEH: $200.00. Stabling/Tack Stall: $195.00. Stabling is from 12:00 noon Wed to Mon. Shavings: $12/bag, First bedding provided (2 bales). Haul-in Fee: $40.00 for the weekend for non-stabled horses. Payment required for entry! Entries submitted online but not paid will not be entereduntil payment received. We will adhere to this policy because of previous difficulty. HIGHLY encourage online submission of entry with payment or immediate mailing of the check. Entries accepted after closing date will be assessed the post entry fee of $50 (this includes checks received after closing date for entries completed online before CD) Refunds: Before C.D. - Refund less $25.00 non-refundable processing fee; After C.D. - Refund less $50.00 cancellation fee ONLY if place can be filled from wait list for that division. Competition cancellation - No refund.The USEA Starter/D&M fee ($30) will be returned within 30 days of the competition to any rider who does not start the dressage test.

Entries

Entry fees include $25 nonrefundable office fee. Entries postmarked after Closing Date may be accepted and a $50 late fee assessed.USEA and USEF fees are not included as part of the entry fee and must be paid as provided on entry form. Double entries: Not accepted. USEA current membership (Junior, collegiate, Full, or Life) and horse registration (limited or Full) are required at all levels, except Starter. Starter competitors: USEA membership fees are not required, and Starter/D&M fee does not apply. All division/horse/rider changes will be assessed a $25 fee. Neg. Coggins and Health Certificate required for out-of-state horses within 12 months. All horses must have their Equine vaccine records submitted with entry and with them to enter show grounds. Awards

Championship style Ribbons to 10th place per division. Prizes to tenth. Special awards (1) oldest horse and rider combo (2) youngest horse and rider combo (3) first recognized event participation for rider (4) breed organization sponsored awards (5) Coach/trainer recognition for the one represented by the most students competing on teams. Team Challenge- ribbons to 3rd place. Mixed teams of 3 or 4, 3 best scores to count. Team must contain 1 rider Prelim or above and 1 amateur rider. $5/rider team fee must be paid in full by start of level to qualify for awards. Area VII adult riders may offer awards as well. Individuals are responsible to sign up in show office for any awards or teams before the start of the competition.Everyone please plan to visit show office to receive their awards--prizes to tenth all divisions -- not just that beautiful ribbon.

Stabling/Veterinarian

Stabling: Limited number 12x12 stalls, with full doors in the Major Sponsor barns, additional portable chinook stalls, 10' X 10', with full doors, $195.00 for the weekend (noon Wed-Mon am). Tack stalls may be available $195 for the weekend. Initial bedding provided additional available for purchase, $12/bale. Stalls may not be altered in any manner. Horses hauling in for the show must pay the $40.00 grounds fee per horse. Veterinarian: McKinlay Peters Equine Hospital. Farrier: Tully Kasparek Thursday & Friday 509-993-9249. Motels: You may camp on the grounds.Please contact host facility for hook-up availability (509) 999-6611. Ramada Inn - Airport - SPECIAL SHOW RATE Call Jean at 509-777-3053and the rate is $119.00 this rate includes breakfast. There are multiple other hotels within 10 miles of the facility.

Cross-Country

AI/I: 3000 @ 550 m/min and 26-28 efforts P: 2850 @ 520 mpmwith 24-26 obstacles. M: 2500 m @ 490 mpm. With 24-26 obstaclesT:2300m @ 450 mpm, 20-24 obstacles. N: 2000m @ 400 mpm, 18-20 obstacles. BN: 2000m @ 350 mpm 18-20 obstacles. Starter:1800m @ 300 mpm 14 -16obstacles.
Footing is sandy loam in open fields and improved paths with terrain changes. Open fields and trails through wooded areas for all divisions. Includes banks, ditches and water for BN-N-T-P -I Many Starter and BN fences at maximum size and include versions of standard portable fences (cabin, table, oxers, corners, etc.). Because of terrain changes all these courses should be considered fairly challenging for the levels.

Cross-Country course closed after May 2, sundown. Prior schooling by special arrangement with Spokane Sport Horse Farm. (509-999-6611) Levels may be divided/combined/cancelled if entries warrant: state preferences (novice horse, novice rider but multiple horses may be placed in different divisions for scheduling ease) under eligible section and birth date on entry. Juniors and young riders will have a combined division if possible at each level. Several Food vendors on grounds. Dogs must be leashed on a non-retractable leash and kept away from all arenas including the cross-country course during competition. Any loose dogs will pay a $50.00 donation. Please clean up after your dog on the grounds and cross-country course. Show Jumping footing is sand and rubber footing. EV114 Dress 1. PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR. a. At all levels of eventing competition, from beginner novice through advanced, at Federation Endorsed competitions and recognized competitions, riders must wear headgear as follows, except as may otherwise be mandated by local law (see also GR801): b. Upon arrival, anyone riding a horse must wear properly fitting protective headgear which passes or surpasses ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials)/SEI (Safety Equipment Institute) standards for equestrian use and carries the SEI tag. Harness must be secured and properly fitted. Please use sharps containers in barns per USEF rules. “Every class offered herein which is covered by the rules and specifications of the current USEF rulebook will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith”.
