Follow Baseline to sign on right (approx. 1 mile). Dirt road will take you to stabling. From South: Hwy 101 to 154 west from Santa Barbara across San Marcos Pass, approx. 25 miles after starting on 154. Turn right on Baselineat stop sign before Shepherd of the Valley Church. Take immediate right to continue on Baseline & follow approx. 1 mi. to sign on right. Dirt road will take you to stabling.

Stabling:$150.00 Thursday 9 am to Sunday sundown. Additional nights: $35Contact Secretary for permission for early arrival.Absolutely no haul-ins allowed.Shavings: $12/bag.Alfalfa Hay:$25/bale. Non-Competing Grounds Fee:$100.00 (includes XC schooling on Sunday following the show. Stabling is additional). ONLY AS SPACE ALLOWS. Contact Show Secretary Teams:$20.00 per team. Teams of 3 or 4, best 3 scores to count, all team members at same level. Incomplete entries: $20 fee for all incomplete entries.
Change of Horse/Rider/Division: $40/change. Refunds:Before Aug 3 - FULL REFUND; Between Aug 3 and Closing Date - entry/stabling less $25 non-refundable office fee. After closing date - no refunds unless space can be filled from Waitlist. Competition cancellation - no refund.USEA Starter/D&M Fees and COVID-19 Recovery Refund Policy:The USEA Starter/D&M fees ($25) and COVID-19 Recovery fee ($5), are not subjected to office fees, and shall be returned within 30 days of the competition to any rider who does not start the dressage test.

Entries

Entry fee includes a $25 non-refundable office fee. USEA membership and horse registration required at all levels,except Intro. Intro riders do not pay the USEA Starter/D&M/COVID-19 Recovery fees. Preliminary/IPriders, owners, trainers must be current USEF members or pay $45 USEF Show Pass Fee per person. Include proof of current USEF membership with entry for Prelim riders, owners, and trainers with entry. Complete Entries:If payment is not received with entry it is considered incomplete and will not be accepted until payment received. Entries may be accepted by email with digital signatures however no entry is considered complete without all signatures and PAYMENT. Entry changes: $40 fee for all changes after closing date.Post Entry/Late Fee:$50 for all entries received after closing date. Double entries:Not accepted. Refunds:Before Aug 3 - FULL REFUND. Between Aug 3 and Closing Date - entry/stabling less $25 non-refundable office fee. After closing date - no refunds. Competition cancellation - no refund. Returned checks: $30 fee on returned checks. Coggins: Negative Coggins required within 12 months for out-of-state horses.For equine movements into the state, California requires a valid Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI), issued within 30 days beforeentry, and evidence of a negative Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA) test performed at a USDA-approved laboratory within twelve (12)months before the date of entry. An EIA test "pending" result does not meet the entry requirement. Preliminary:All preliminary entriesmust send copy of USEF cards for rider, trainer and owner or pay $45 USEF Show Pass Fee per rider/owner/trainer. Pre-Show Dressage Schooling Test: Sign up online at Sign Up Genius (link will be posted Saturday, August 21st) - dressage schooling on Thursday 12:00 to 5. $30 per test ride. Space is limited. Reminder: All USEF Life and Senior Active members, as well as participants who have regular contact with minor athletes, are required to comply with the U.S. Center for SafeSport training requirement, to be eligible to participate in the competition. All participants must adhere to the U.S. Center for SafeSport Code, USEF Safe Sport Policy, and the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies. Stall doors &initial bag of shavings provided. Extra Shavings ($12/bag), alfalfa ($25/bale) available through secretary or by pre-order Haul-Ins: $100 Trailer-In Fee per horse. Course closed Sunday August 11th at sundown. All courses on groomed tracks over rolling terrain. Preliminary - 2500 m @ 520 mpm. Training- 2200 m @ 450 mpm. Novice- 1900 m @400 mpm. Beginner Novice - 1800 m @ 350 mpm, max height 2'7", 14 efforts. Intro - 1400 m @ 300 mpm, height 20-24", 12-14 jumping efforts, water optional. Entries Limited to 180 temporary stalls onsite, priority givenin order of reciept of entries (complete entries only). Rider levels may be divided/combined as entries warrant; state preferences under the Eligible Section and birth date on entry. Prize list available from secretary. Food on grounds. Dogs allowed on leash only, strictly enforced!!! Owners of dogs not on leash must donate $100 to SYVPC Horse Trials. Thursday Dressage Test of Choice: Ride your choice of dressage test in competition arena before "L" judge for ring exposure and last-minute tips.Times available from 12:00-5pm. $30 per ride. Cross-country courses closed at sundown on August 2nd. PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR. a. Upon arrival, anyone riding a horse must wear properly fitting protective headgear which passes or surpasses ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials)/SEI (Safety Equipment Institute) standards for equestrian use and carries the SEI tag. Harness must be secured and properly fitted. “Every class offered herein which is covered by the rules and specifications of the current USEF rulebook will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith."
