Gladstone, N.J. - March 29, 2017 - The United States Equestrian Team (USET) Foundation is proud to announce that Caroline Martin and Mackenna Shea have been named as the recipients of the 2017 Karen Stives Eventing Endowment Fund Grants. Martin and Shea will participate in the Karen E. Stives European Emerging Athlete Tour, which will give these E25 athletes a chance to represent the United States on an international stage at the 2017 Houghton Hall CICO3* and Bramham International CCI3*-U25 in Great Britain.

Ocala, Florida - Multi-Olympian Karen O'Connor has been appointed the new coach of the Mexican Eventing Team and will assume the role immediately. The appointment will involve O'Connor training the team for major events including the Pan American Games in Toronto this summer and the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games in 2016.

Gladstone, N.J. - The United States Equestrian Team Foundation is pleased to announce that it has awarded the 2015 Amanda Warrington Grant to Eventing rider Kurt Martin of Middleburg, VA. The Amanda Pirie Warrington Grant is awarded through the USET Foundation Amanda Pirie Warrington Fund. Earlier this year, Martin and his talented mount Anna Bella took home the winning honors at the Fair Hill International CIC***.

Saumur, France- Clear rounds were at a premium Sunday at the Saumur CCI3* as 34 combinations went forward into the show jumping. Only threecompetitors, including winner Bill Levett, were able to produce faultless trips over Pierre Michelet’s demanding track. The U.S. entries of Will Faudree, Marilyn Little and Hannah Sue Burnett each incurred eight faults over the course, as all three Land Rover Competition Grant recipients dislodged two rails.

Saumur, France- The Land Rover U.S. Eventing Team had a mixed day Saturday at the Saumur CCI3*, as Pierre Michelet’s winding track proved influential. Land Rover Competition Grant recipients Will Faudree and Marilyn Little saw themselves climb up the leaderboard on the strength of double clear rounds. While Hannah Sue Burnett and Buck Davidson, who are also competing on Land Rover Competition Grants, experienced hiccups on course but saw their horses earn valuable experience at the prestigious French competition.
