The two-day training program will be conducted at the beautiful Waredaca Farm in Laytonsville, Md., on May 12-13, 2014. Panelists for this training program are Linda Zang and Gretchen Butts.

Dr. Richard Wilkes, State Veterinarian with the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS), announced that a horse in Virginia has been confirmed positive for Equine Herpesvirus Myeloencephalopathy (EHM), a neurological disease of horses caused by Equine Herpesvirus-1 (EHV-1).

In the wake of the tragic loss of two horses at The Fork CIC3*/CIC2* and Horse Trials this weekend, all of us at the USEA would like to extend our deepest condolences to the riders, owners, and grooms of Powderhound and Conair, and to everyone else connected with those marvelous horses.

The B & C Jumping Training Program for prospective Eventing Judges and TD's will be conducted April 18-20, 2014 during the Holly Hills Horse Trials in Benton, Louisiana. Anyone who is interested in obtaining their “r” Eventing TD or Judge license are required to attend this training program.

Lexington, Ky. - For 2014 the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) and United States Eventing Association (USEA) have revised the Eventing 18/ Advancing Athlete program. Riders wishing to participate in the program will be required to complete an application and will be observed at pre-determined eventing competitions throughout the spring and summer of 2014.
