The Intercollegiate Team Challenge at FENCE this past weekend was a huge success. Everywhere you looked there were groups of blue, orange, and red. These were the groups of riders and their supporters from the University of Kentucky, Clemson University, and the University of Georgia that gathered to compete in this first such contest in our area.

Lexington, KY - The USEF High Performance Eventing Spring Training Sessions have come to a close and are being regarded as highly successful. USEF Eventing Team Coach David O'Connor worked with the nation's top horses and riders in Aiken, SC, Ocala, FL, Gilroy, CA, Temecula, CA, and Berkshire, UK on their dressage and jumping skills throughout the training sessions, noting marked improvement.

The USEA and USEF are pleased to announce the introduction of the Eventing 18/Advancing Athlete program, a new joint initiative for 2013. The goal of this program is to build a foundation of future horsemen and women that will hopefully go on to represent our country. This is the beginning of the Athlete Pipeline. Selection into the program will be based on talent, competitiveness, commitment, potential, willingness to learn, quality of application, and recommendation.

The Chattahoochee Hills Country International Horse Trials (CHC International Horse Trials) is thrilled to announce its inaugural event this May 17 through 19, 2013. The three-day event will be held just 30 minutes travel time from Downtown Atlanta at Bouckaert Farms, a scenic 8,000-acre equestrian paradise along the Chattahoochee River. Attracting amateur, professional, international athletes and Olympian competitors, the CHC International Horse Trials of 2013 will also feature a variety of activities and amenities for all ages to enjoy an exciting weekend in the country.
“Our goal is to showcase the historic equestrian Olympic sport known as eventing or as an equestrian triathlon, as a true festival in the country, while introducing it to new fans and emphasizing its uniqueness with new added entertainment and amenities,” says Michael Pollard, founder of the CHC International Horse Trials.
