Effective January 1 2015, as a benefit to our members, the USEA will no longer charge for the change of owner/rider for all USEA registered horses. However, a name change fee of $25.00 will still apply.Effective March 1, members will be able to log into their account to make this change at no charge. We encourage everyone to update their horse's ownership, and to ensure that your contact information and membership are up to date for 2015.

The United States Eventing Association (USEA) is pleased to announce a new partnership with Ride Alert, a U.S.-based partner of the AlertID Group. Ride Alert provides a simple online means to identify horse and rider in the event of an accident, and for the rider to record emergency medical information and emergency contact details.

The USEA would like to thank the members and convention attendees for making the 2014 Convention in Ft. Worth a special one. We look forward to seeing everyone next year in the nation's capital for a Hall of Fame Ceremony and another great convention!

At the 2014 USEA Annual Meeting and Convention, we bid farewell to two departing board members; Jonathan Holling and Mike Winter had both fulfilled their 6-year term on the USEA Board of Governors. But, after a fond sendoff, the membership welcomed two new board members: Morley Thompson, Jr. and Harold “Tink” Eichell. Additionally, Leslie Law will take over the VP of Active Athletes position from Holling.

On Saturday at the USEA Annual Meeting and Convention, the educational lectures, shopping, and meetings continued. USEA members convened for lunch to bid farewell to departing Board Members Jonathan Holling and Mike Winter, to honor individuals who have served the USEA and eventing for many years, and to listen to Leslie Law's keynote speech, which earned him a standing ovation from the crowd. The British Olympic gold medalist said that he believes the U.S.

The Event College at Gold Chip Stables was a true hands-on experience as participants were handed power tools and shovels to work alongside the top course builders in the country. Participants walked away with a tool box full of important knowledge and Mike Huber’s fabulous Texas facility got three new jumps – not bad for a day's work!
