Seventy-five horses have been accepted to move onto the first phase of competition at the 2015 Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event presented by Land Rover. Kyle Carter withdrew Madison Park before the horse inspection, and despite two holds (Anthony Patch and Ballylaffin Bracken), all horses ultimately passed and will proceed into the Rolex Arena on Thursday and Friday for their dressage tests. As previously announced, the United States Eventing Association’s (USEA) Professional Horseman’s Council (PHC) will be hosting The Event College at the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event again this year. The Event College is a special event designed to educate the general public on the sport of Eventing, and will take place Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during the competition.

As has been true for many years, all USEA Areas offer one or two Cindy Burge Memorial ICP Grants per year, which provide some financial assistance to a selected event instructor once that instructor has successfully completed an ICP Assessment for ICP certification. To identify your own USEA Area’s procedure for applying for its Cindy Burge Memorial ICP Grant, contact your Area’s Adult Rider Coordinator via the contact information provided on the USEA website under “About Us.”

The USEA is extremely proud to announce the new inductees to join the 32 other icons of Eventing in the USEA Eventing Hall of Fame, all of whom have dedicated their lives to our sport. We wish we could include everyone who is deserving of this honor, but unfortunately the number of inductees is limited to a maximum of eight per class. We will however keep the names of all those nominated on file until the next Hall of Fame.
