The USEA is sad to report that Inoui Van Bost, an eight-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding competing in the CCI2* with rider and owner Skyler Decker of the United States, was seriously injured in a fall at fence 19. The horse was transported to the New Jersey Equine Clinic in Millstone, N.J., where the decision was made that he be humanely euthanized. Decker did not sustain any injuries in the fall.Our thoughts are with Skyler Decker, and all who knew Inoui Van Bost.

As previously announced, the United States Eventing Association’s (USEA) Professional Horseman’s Council (PHC) will be hosting The Event College at the 2016 Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event again this year. The Event College is a special event designed to educate the general public on the sport of Eventing, and will take place Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during the competition.

Benton, LA -  Area V will play host to the second in a series of at least 11 town hall meetings being hosted around the country in 2016.  The town hall will be held on Saturday April 23rd at 5 pm.  The town hall meetings are a continuation of the Eventing 2016-2026 Summit which was held at the 2015 USEA Annual Meeting and Convention.  Those in attendance will be invited to discuss the issues facing the sport and their recommendations on how the USEA can address them.  Members of t
