Bea di Grazia and her own Lad’s Night Out led the Adequan USEA Gold Cup Series Advanced division at Twin Rivers from start to finish. After a terrific performance throughout the weekend, the duo secured their victory by adding no jumping faults to their dressage score and only two time penalties.

The 2012 Adequan USEA Gold Cup Advanced Division at Twin Rivers belongs to Bea di Grazia and Lad’s Night Out after day two of competition. The overnight leaders made easy work of Derek di Grazia’s tricky cross-country track, being one of only two pairs to post a double clean.The clean round will assure Lad’s Night Out “Hector” at least one rail as he and owner Bea di Grazia wrap up competition tomorrow with show jumping, in hopes of earning themselves an Adequan USEA Gold Cup win.

In the first day of competition at the Twin Rivers Fall Horse Trials in Paso Robles, CA, 11 Advanced horse and rider combinations took part in dressage for the final outing of the 2012 Adequan USEA Gold Cup Series.Bea di Grazia and her own Lad’s Night Out impressed judge Marilyn Payne and earned the top spot after day one with a score of 30.7. “Hector was excellent today. He is always such a pleasure to ride and I was thrilled with our test” di Grazia remarked about her stunning 12-year-ol Irish Sport Horse grey gelding.

The eighth annual Spalding Labs USEA Young Event Horse West Coast Championships took place in Paso Robles, CA on September 20th, showcasing the best up and coming talent on the West Coast.  Held alongside the Twin Rivers Fall Horse Trials, future stars made their mark in both the four- and five-year-old Championship divisions.

The Adequan USEA Gold Cup Advanced Division at Twin Rivers in Paso Robles CA, came down to the wire on the final day of competition, leaving riders and spectators on edge to the final rail. Prior to Show Juming, James Alliston remarked that “ even the best horses have rails some times,” and today that was the case for the overnight leader, as he and Jumbo’s Jake dropped just one rail to finish in second behind Sandra Donnelly and her long time partner Buenos Aires.

James Alliston and India McEvoy’s Jumbo’s Jake are within striking distance of clinching the Adequan USEA Gold Cup victory at Twin Rivers Horse Trials. With less than a rail in hand, the seasoned duo will head into the last phase of competition tomorrow hoping they can rely on experience to secure a victory and the Gold Cup Series points.  Alliston, showed confidence in McEvoy’s bay gelding, and hopes the stars are aligned in their favor Sunday in Paso Robles, CA, saying, “Jake is familiar with this track and was great today.

In his first outing since Rolex Kentucky last April, India McEvoy’s Jumbo’s Jake ridden by James Alliston, is one step closer to winning the Adequan USEA Gold Cup Advanced Division at Twin Rivers Ranch for the second year in a row. Alliston and Jumbo’s Jake, set the bar high in the heat of the day, putting forth a lovely test to earn themselves a 27.7 in dressage, and nearly an eight point cushion over second going into cross-country.

In the USEA Young Event Horse West Coast Championships at Twin Rivers Horse Trials, four-and five-year-old youngsters demonstrated they not only had talent, but a great deal of patience, in divisions which kicked off mid-day and did not crown the winning horses until early evening as the sun set in Paso Robles, CA.
