It is with the deepest sadness that USEA says goodbye to one of its founding fathers, Jack Fritz, who passed away this morning. In any organization, any sport, committees and regulations are a necessary "evil." Without rules, chaos takes over. From the very beginning of Eventing in the United States Jack was hard at work helping to build the framework of a viable organization. A list of the official positions he has filled would run to several pages. Among others he has served as Governor and Vice-President of the USCTA (now USEA) and the United States Pony Club; Chairman of the AHSA (now USEF) Combined Events and Dressage Committee and as Secretary Treasurer and Director of the USET. He was a founding member of the USDF.
