An early morning fire tragically took the lives of 21 horses at the High Plains Stables, the Billings, Montana barn of USEA Area IX Chair, Martha McDowell. The entire facility in addition to all of Martha’s and her boarders’ equipment has been lost.

Rebecca Farm and the Broussard family would like to extend their condolences to Martha McDowell and all of those involved at High Plains Stables for their losses.
We have set up a fund for Martha and those involved to help cover the expenses they will incur.  Although this can never replace the beloved horses that were lost, we feel that this may help start the rebuilding process.  We know that Martha and the boarders at High Plains Stables have support from the horse and local communities and are honored to provide a way for those to show their support.

Donations will be received by Sarah Kelly and directed to High Plains Stables.

Please make payable to Sarah Kelly and note High Plains Stables in the memo line..

The USEA sends our deepest sympathies to Martha and everyone at High Plain Stables on the loss of their horses.
