Have you ever wondered what a top international rider and trainer would say about your galloping position? What would they say about how you and your horse look coming down a drop fence or clearing a big table? Well here’s your chance to find out! Eventing USA is continuing their popular column in which international eventer Jan Byyny will critique your photos, but this time, we're switching it up! In honor of the upcoming Nutrena USEA American Eventing Championships, presented by Bit of Britain, we'd like Jan to critique cross-country photos from past AEC competitions!
Each month, Jan reviews a few reader-submitted photos and gives pointers to riders of all levels. Don’t miss out on this chance to have your cross-country photo from past AEC events critiqued by one of the top riders and trainers in the nation! Byyny is a Level IV ICP instructor, co-chair of the Young Rider Committee, and has trained with some of the most experienced members of our sport. Not to mention, she's well-known for her dedication to the sport, great sense of humor, and lovely smile!
To submit your photo, e-mail an original photo or scanned image (at least 300 dpi) to [email protected], or send your photo to Emily Daily, 525 Old Waterford Road, NW, Leesburg, VA, 20176. We will return all photos that are sent to the office.
If the photo was taken by a professional, please include the credit information. Do not alter a professional's photo in any way (i.e. cropping), and only scan a professional's printed image if you have permission to do so.
Photos should be taken from the side to give Jan the best angle for her critique. Let us know which AEC year the photo is from, too!
