Road to Rolex.... 2013...

Yup, you read that right... 2013... our Rolex journey has ended for 2012.  After a great spring where Questie (Our Questionnaire) felt stronger and fitter than ever, we have to postpone our Rolex plans until next year.  The Eventing rollercoaster ride continues.  The good news is we should be out and about this fall.

We ask our horses to do extraordinary things in this sport.  They are elite athletes, and little injuries happen just like in other sports.  You cannot go to a 4* compromised by a small thing.. if you do  it becomes a big thing.  My tough little Kiwi horse never complains, always shows up for work, and tries hard every time out.  He is an incredible individual and I am so blessed to be able to ride him.  That is why we will give him a little break now.  Questie LOVES his job and will get to do it for a long time to come.  The timing stinks for certain, but it is a joy to ride him cross country and I look forward to doing  so again in the near future.

In the meantime, my poor working student Robin, (aka Cinderella), will be busy icing, Revitavet-ing , grazing, and otherwise catering to Questie's every need.  I would like to thank the folks at Skylands Saddlery, Equine Organix, OneK Helmets, Cavalor, Revitavet and all of my friends and family for riding the rollercoaster with me once again.  Take a little rest everyone, we are going on the ride again soon!
