After much consideration, the IDHSNA USEA Future Event Horse East Coast Championships have been moved from October 5 to September 29. The Championships were moved up one weekend due to scheduling conflicts at Morven Park in Leesburg, VA. The facility is still scheduled to host the FEH East Championships, but they will now just be the Saturday before the Morven Park Horse Trials.
To qualify for the IDHSNA USEA Future Event Horse Championships, a horse must receive a minimum score of 68 percent in a FEH Series event. To check scores and qualifications, go to http://useventing.com/resource/results-2012-idhsna-usea-feh. With three more months to qualify for the FEH East Coast Championships, be sure to check out the calendar of upcoming events and enter your yearling, two-year-old, or three-year-old!
There are three championships scheduled for 2012:
East Coast: September 29 at Morven Park in Leesburg, VA
Central: October 11 at Willow Draw in Weatherford, TX
West Coast: October 20 at Ram Tap Horse Trials in Fresno, CA
The IDHSNA USEA Future Event Horse Series is a program that was introduced in 2007 to familiarize young horses with eventing and to increase horse breeders’ interest in event horses. The Series judges yearlings, two-year-olds, and three-year-olds on the potential to become an upper level eventer.
