The 2012 Adequan USEA Gold Cup Advanced Division at Twin Rivers belongs to Bea di Grazia and Lad’s Night Out after day two of competition. The overnight leaders made easy work of Derek di Grazia’s tricky cross-country track, being one of only two pairs to post a double clean.

The clean round will assure Lad’s Night Out “Hector” at least one rail as he and owner Bea di Grazia wrap up competition tomorrow with show jumping, in hopes of earning themselves an Adequan USEA Gold Cup win.

Di Grazia who is in her first season of Advanced competition with Hector was thrilled with the effort he put forth, saying “I was very happy with how things went today. The course rode great and I could not be more thrilled with my horse.”

The only other double clean round of the 2012 Adequan USEA Gold Cup division belongs to James Allison who climbed the leader board with his long time partner Parker in his quest for earning points towards the title of Gold Cup Series Year end reserve champion. Behind Parker sits Alliston’s other horse in the division Tivoli who added just a hand full of time penalties to his dressage score and is still within striking distance of the necessary points to be crowned year end 2012 Reserve series winner.

After having ridden around the CCI4* level and numerous CCI3* competitions successfully, Alliston who currently has three upper level horses offered praise of the tracks at Twin Rivers, saying “I like coming here because you know the ground is going to be very good and with Derek who is the designer at Rolex designing, you are getting to ride a course designed by one of the best in the industry here in California, properly preparing you for the biggest course in America.”

Tomorrow’s show jumping finale will determine the final 2012 Adequan USEA Gold Cup Series Advanced division winner and should be a great conclusion to an exciting year of competition.
