All 30 horses that completed the cross-country yesterday were presented to the Ground Jury for the Final Horse Inspection this morning. Twenty-nine were accepted and will move on to showjumping this afternoon. Meghan O'Donoghue's Pirate and Kendal Lehari's Daily Edition were sent to the holding box, but the jogs ended on a high note when they were both accepted upon reinspection. James Alliston's highest place horse, Tivoli, ninth after dressage, was also held but sadly was spun upon reinspection.

All 46 horses presented today at the 16th Rolex Kentucky Kentucky Three-Day Event and USEF CCI4* Championship were accepted by the Ground Jury of Nick Burton (GBR), Christina Klingspor (SWE), Brian Ross (USA), as well as Veterinary Delegate Catherine Kohn, DVM, and will move on to the dressage phase of the competition. Quimbo, ridden by Andrew Nicholson (NZL) was held but passed on reinspection. Here’s To You, ridden by Emily Beshear (USA) was not presented.

The second veterinary inspection kicked off bright and early this morning at Fair Hill International with the CCI2* horses jogging first. Kelly Sult and Montgomery withdrew before the start of the jog. Robin Walker and Freedoms Light, Caroline Martin and Petite Flower, Susan Beebee and Wolf, and Doug Payne and Crown Talisman were all sent to the hold box but passed upon reinspection. Caroline Martin and Quantum Solace and Charles Plumb and Ard Denzil were sent to the hold box and withdrew from there.

The 2012 Fair Hill International CCI2* and CCI3* kicked off today under beautiful conditions with the first veterinary inspection. Sixty-three horses jogged in the CCI2* with four horses not being able to go on to start the competition. Glendening Avis with Callie Evans and Tequesteris with Natalia Gurmankin were both held and did not pass upon reinspection while Win the War with Jessica Bortner-Harris and Fernhill Cove with Beth Perkins both withdrew from the hold box. All 37 horses which jogged in the CCI3*passed the first veterinary inspection and will be heading into dressage.

All horses presented for the jog in the Adequan USEA Gold Cup Series CIC3* division will move forward to show jumping. In the CIC2* division, Starstruck, ridden by Melissa Hunsberger, was withdrawn in the holding box, Nora Battig's Steppin' Out was held and accepted upon reinspection, and Robin Walker's Freedoms Light was not presented.

Eventing teams from all over the globe made their first Olympic appearance this morning in Greenwich Park at the first veterinary inspection. The United States team was the first to jog following the individual from Ecuador, and all horses passed on the first inspection.

Competitors at the Adequan/FEI North American Junior and Young Rider Championships were up bright and early this morning for the final veterinary inspection. Horses and riders arrived at the jog lanes behind the Kentucky Horse Park steeplechase barn at 7:00, groomed and dressed in their best.

The first veterinary inspection at Rebecca Farm took about three hours as 70 FEI horses and 75 SmartPak Equine USEA Classic Series horses had to jog for the ground jury. All of the horses in the Adequan USEA Gold Cup CIC3* passed with flying colors, but unfortunately a few horses scattered throughout the other divisions did not pass.
