Classic-format first-timer Mackenna Shea said she'd definitely be embarking on phases A, B, C, and D again after finishing her weekend at the Galway Downs International Three-Day Event on her dressage score in the long-format CCI*. galway_09_yeh5_awards.jpgThough the Spalding Labs USEA Young Event Horse West Coast Championships ran until the sun set at the Galway Downs International Three-Day and Horse Trials, spectators were treated to performances by some of the best young event prospects in the country. Robyn Fisher rode Rose Sullivan's Clair de Lune SE, a Holsteiner Stallion by Contendor and out of L'Vienna Z, and scored an 83.90% to win the 5-Year-Old Championship, while she also rode her own Dutch Warmblood gelding, Artesian (Judgement—Shannondoah) to a score of 87.00 to earn the 4-Year-Old Championship. image Endurance day at Waredaca Farm’s SmartPak Equine/USEA Training Three-Day was just about perfect. A group of 37 courageous riders competed in the long format event over the weekend in late October. In the A Division, D.C. McBroom and Twain came out on top with a score of 35.3. Carrie Meehan and Blue Devil won not only the B Division, but also had the lowest scores of all three division by finishing on a 28.4. In the C Division Jamie Doolittle and A Dream Come True took home the blue ribbon with a score of 38.7. Leslie Mintz Photos.
