Eventing Officials

Eventing officials include Judges, Technical Delegates (TD), and Course Designers (CD). They are all licensed by the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) at the “r”, “R” and FEI levels. However, the USEA is responsible for the Training Programs for all Eventing officials. If you are interested in becoming an Eventing Official please read the Eventing Licensing Procedures and Training Program PDF.

The USEA Training Program for Event Officials and the USEA Continuing Education Program are for members who wish to become Licensed Officials and for those who wish to further their education, but not necessarily pursue licensure with the Federation.

Attendance at a Continuing Education Clinic is part of the requirement to maintain an active license status as an eventing official. Clinics must be attended at least once every three years from the date of the license being granted, but officials may attend more frequently if they wish.

For further information on the Training Program for Eventing Officials or the USEA Continuing Education Program or to obtain a registration form, please contact Nancy Knight, Director of Education, 525 Old Waterford Road NW, Leesburg, VA 20176.
