From the North: Take Mass Route 3 south to exit 3. Turn left off the exit. Take second right onto Old Sandwich Rd. Farm is 2 miles on right.
From the South: Take Mass Route 3 north to exit 2. At end of ramp turn left. Then turn left onto route 3A north. Follow Route 3A north for approx. 3 miles. Turn left onto onto Old Sandwich Rd. Farm is approx 2 miles down on left.

Tentative Schedule:

Fri: Cross-country course open-3 pm.
Sat: (PT, T, N and BN) Dressage-7:30 am; Show Jumping-12 pm; Cross-Country immediately following. Wear XC attire to SJ.
Sun: (N, BN and Intro) Dressage- 7:30 am; Show Jumping-12 pm; Cross-Country immediately following. Wear XC attire to SJ.

* If entries are not sufficient to run both days, all divisions will run on Sunday.

Entry: Horse Trials divisions PT/T/N/BN: $185.00; Intro $160.00; CT divisions P/T/N/BN $100

Horse Trials Competitors: USEA Starter/D&M fees are not included as part of the entry fee, please add these to your entry fee.
Combined Test Competitors: CT entrants are exempt from USEA Starter/D&M fees. USEA membership not required for any level CT, however CT competitors who are non-members must include a non-member fee of $25 with entry.
INTRO Competitors: INTRO entrants are exempt from USEA Starter/D&M fees and USEA membership/non-membership fees do not apply.

Entries accepted after closing date are subject to a $25 LATE FEE.

Stabling: $95.00 per night on grounds.

Entries:

Entry fees include $25 non-refundable office fee. Double entries: Not accepted.
BN competitors who are not USEA members must pay extra $25 with entry.

Entries post marked after closing date may be accepted and subject to a $25 LATE FEE.
$25 charge for all Incomplete/incorret or changes to entry after July 19.
$25 charge for lost pinny, no deposit required.  $25 fee for non-negotiable check.
Negative Coggins required within 12 months for all horses.
Refunds: Before C.D -Less $25 non-refundable office fee; After C.D.Entry-Less $25 office fee ONLY if place can be filled from a wait list, $100 non transferable credit towards Valinor Farm October Schooling Trials if scratch is accompanied by a vet or doctor note, else no refund. Withdrawals and changes must be in writing, fax or email.
No refunds on stabling after closing date. Competition cancellation-No refund.
USEA Starter and D&M Fees Refund Policy:  USEA Starter and D&M Fees shall be returned, within 30 days of the completion of the competition, to any rider who withdraws prior to the start of the dressage test.


Beginner Novice and Novice divisions offered on both Saturday and Sunday, please state date preference on your entry.

Competitor Information
Awards:
  • Prizes and 8 ribbons per division.
  • The Jockey Club's T.I.P (Thoroughbred Incentive Program) is sponsoring awards for the highest placing thoroughbred at each level.  If you are competing a thoroughbred, be sure to register with the T.I.P.  See this website for registration and more information  www.tjctip.om
  • The American Sport Horse Association is sponsiring an award for the highest placed Sddlebred or Half Saddlebred.  See www.asha.net for more information.
Stabling/Veterinarian:

Limited. Temporary stalls.  $95/stall/night on grounds. Possibly more available off-grounds. Stabling form must accompany entry, please specify Friday or Saturday night. Competitors stabling Friday night may arrive between 3 and 9pm on Friday; stalls must be cleaned and vacated by 5pm Saturday. Sunday competitors with stabling may arrive between 5 and 9pm on Saturday, stalls will not be available before 5pm on Saturday. Stall doors provided, bedding available for purchase, please order with entry. Veterinarian: Halifax Veterinary Services, (781) 294-8155. # will be posted on board inside barn.

Dressage:

Test & arena sizes: PT-2014 USEF Preliminary Test A-Sm. T-2014 USEF Training Test A-Sm. N-2014 USEF Novice Test A-Sm. BN-2014 USEF Beginner Novice Test A-Sm. Intro- 2014 USEF Beginner Novice Test A-Sm, Arenas: grass or sand.

Cross-Country:

T- 2200 m @ 420 mpm. N.-2000 m @ 350 mpm. BN.-1500 m @ 300 mpm/max fence height 2' 7". Intro - 1200 mpm/max fence height 2' 3". All courses: Open fields with some wooded trails. Footing generally very good, sand based turf.  Courses include banks, water, ditches appropriate for level.  No water on the INTRO course. INTRO course is a very simple introduction to the sport.  PT divisions run a modified Stadium (3'5" max) with options on the TR X-Cty course.

Other Information:

Upgraded footing in all outdoor sand rings.
Cross-country course closed by July 1.
Water and food available on grounds.
Entry limit 100 per day.
Levels may be divided/combined as entries warrant; please provide experience and birth date on entry.
Dogs must be leashed.
No motorized vehicles allowed on X-Cty.
Non-competing horses must purchase a number.
Please contact organizer if you need to arrive for stabling after 9pm.
Parking is limited, please write the size of your trailer on your entry form.
