Mystery Whisper Shouts his Dominance at the Jersey Fresh CCI3*

The singular goal that Phillip Dutton has been working for all season is now officially accomplished; he and Mystery Whisper are now qualified for this summer’s Olympic Games. And as a cherry on top of that accomplishment they also handily won this weekend’s CCI3* at Jersey Fresh in Allentown, New Jersey.

Boyd Martin and Crackerjack, a nine-year-old Thoroughbred gelding (Aberjack x Satan’s Slave), led wire-to-wire in the Jersey Fresh CCI2* and a double clear show jump round today just solidified their win. “Winning any three-day event is a huge high for me,” said Boyd. “The sort of focus for what I do with these horses is to peak at a CCI three-day event whether it be a one-star, two-star, or three-star. It is satisfying to have the horses peak at this big event and do well in all three phases.”
Jersey Fresh Veterinary Inspection Update

All four divisions at the Jersey Fresh Three-Day Event started their morning jogging for the ground jury during the second veterinary inspection. All of the horse presented in the CCI3* and CIC3* divisions passed without problem and there were no overnight withdrawals, so 14 horses will show jump in the CCI3* and 18 in the CIC3*.
The Jersey Fresh CCI3* Cross-Country Proves Easy Work for Phillip Dutton and Mystery Whisper

The Jersey Fresh CCI3* was a solid 10 minutes long and completing the John Williams designed cross-country course is definitely a feat of which to be proud. Fifteen pairs started today’s course in Allentown, New Jersey and 14 successfully crossed the finish line, 10 with no jump faults and an impressive five finishing inside the time. The top six places remained unchanged with Phillip Dutton and James and Arden Wildasin’s Mystery Whisper leading the charge.
Phillip Dutton Delivers Another Dressage Lead at the Jersey Fresh CCI3*

The U.S. Eventing Team better be careful because the U.S. Dressage Team might be tempted to scoop up Phillip Dutton and Mystery Whisper for this summer’s Olympic Games. The pair once again blew away the competition scoring a 32.6 for a seven point lead over second placed Karen O’Connor and Veronica. The judge at E, Ulrich Schmitz, even awarded Mystery Whisper a 79.6% which Jo Young at C following suit with a 78.8% and Susan White at M with a 76.4%.
