1. Entries:
Electronic entries accepted –Enter online at www.evententries.com. Payments may be made by credit card. If not sent electronically, payment, signature page, and/or coggins must be received in our office within 7 days or entry will be placed on a waitlist. Entry fees include a $25 non-refundable office fee. Note: USEA/USEF fees are not included as part of the entry fee. Add these association fees to your entry fee. Double entries: Not Accepted. Entries limited to 4 horses per rider per level. USEA membership required.$30 = clean stall deposit, separate check. $30 = deposit for lost pinny, separate check. Refunds: Before C.D.-Entry & Stabling Less $25 non-refundable office fee; after C.D.-Entry – no refund; stabling – refund only if filled from wait list. All changes must be in writing (fax/email OK) and will be subject to a $30 fee. No stabling refunds after times are posted. Competition cancellation-25% of entry fee refunded. No stabling fees refunded. Incomplete entries will be subject to a $30 fee. Copy of current Neg. Coggins (within 12 months) must accompany entry or entry will be considered incomplete. $30 charge for bounced check: Entry will be wait listed. P - Please include a copy of current rider/owner USEF cards. It is the competitor´s responsibility to be familiar with qualification requirements & to enter the proper division.
2. Tentative Schedule:
Fri: Grounds open at 12 pm unless previously arranged. Cross-country course open-3 pm.
3. Awards:
Tiffany & Co trophy & 6 ribbons per division.
4. Starting Times:
Available no later than July 21 from secretary. Times will be posted at: www.fitchscorner.com or Area I www.area1usea.org. Times will not be mailed. Cross-country and Stadium schedules may be adjusted as entries warrant.
5. Stabling/Veterinarian:
Temporary stabling available on grounds. $95 per day or $175/weekend (Friday noon-Sunday 7pm). NO BEDDING PROVIDED. Stalls by the day - Friday from noon to Saturday at 5pm. and Saturday from 5:30pm to Sunday at 7 pm. Please be sure to state on stabling form time and date of arrival. STABLING OFFICE CLOSES AT 9PM. Hay/shavings available for purchase on grounds. Email stabling@fitchscorner.com to reserve shavings, $7 before the event, $8 on grounds during the event. No straw please! $30 stall cleaning deposit required and must be included with entry ON A SEPARATE CHECK. Stalls to be stripped prior to leaving (check will be destroyed if stall is stripped). Veterinarian: Millbrook Equine Veterinary Clinic, 845-677-5500; will be posted at stabling and secretary's stand.
6. Accommodations:
Make reservations early! See our website under local information for a complete list. Millbrook Country House – 5 mi, (845) 677—9570. Cottonwood Motel-10 mi., (845) 677-3283. Interlaken Inn-16 mi., (860) 435-9878. Edison Motor Inn-18 mi., (845) 454-3080. Dutchess County Tourism Agency-(845) 463-4000. Other locations on website. Camping: $50 for the weekend to be paid in advance. No services provided and no open fires. Campers must sign liability release.
7. Directions:
Address: 632 N. Mabbettsville, Rd., Millbrook, NY 12545. From North/South: Route 22 to Amenia, NY. Left (west) on Rt. 44 to Rt. 57 (Shunpike). 3 mi. to competition grounds at corner of Rt. 98 & Rt. 57. 6 miles from the village of Millbrook.
8. Dressage:
Test & arena sizes: P-2010 USEF Preliminary Test C-Std. T-2010 USEF Training Test A-Sm. N-2010 USEF Novice Test B-Sm. NM-2010 USEF Novice Test A-Sm. BN-2010 USEF Beginner Novice Test B-Sm. Arenas: Sand & grass rings.
9. Cross-Country:
Length of course and optimum times will be posted on the start box and at the sec´y stand, Fri., 3 pm. P-3300 m @ 520 mpm. T-2600 m @ 470 mpm. N/NM-2200 m @ 400 mpm. BN-2000m @ 350 mpm. All courses: Above average, for horses with experience at this level, not move-up courses. New course design by Derek di Grazia.
10. Other Information:
Fitch´s Corner NOVICE MASTERS Competition: Two sections will be offered: Novice Riders age 40-49, and Novice Riders age 50+. Cross country run over a championship style course. Trophy and 6 ribbons awarded. Birth date must be stated on entry. Select “Other’ under Eligible Sections on entry form. Per USEF rules, riders in this division may not have completed in more than two horse trials at the training level or above within the previous 24 months. See our website for more details. Cross-country course not open for schooling before event. Entry limit 300. If schedule permits, additional entries will be accepted. Divisions may be divided/combined as entries warrant; state preferences under the Eligible Section and birth date on entry. Management reserves the right to cancel or combine any divisions, and accept or refuse any entry in accordance with Article EV119. Excellent food on grounds. Dogs must be leashed. $30 fine enforced. NO unlicensed driver allowed to drive any motorized vehicle on the property at anytime. Penalty of $100 fine: Strictly Enforced by Security. Non-competing horses: fee $50. Must register with sec´y in advance. Current negative Coggins required. FITCH'S MARKET: Biggest and Best in Area 1!! Open Saturday and Sunday, COMPETITORS' PARTY: Competitors and friends invited to join us at the Blue Jean Ball- dinner, dancing, live music, and DJ all on Saturday July 24th. SPECTATORS´ BENEFIT LUNCHEON to benefit the Millbrook Rescue Squad on Sunday, July 25th. Enjoy celebrity chef luncheon and view show jumping, collector car parade, Fitch's Corner Award ceremony.
