1. Entries:

Double entries: Not accepted. BN competitors who are not USEA members must pay $25 non-member fee. Changes to entry will be charged $25.00 after closing date. Refunds: Before C.D.-Less $25.00 non-refundable office fee; After C.D.-up to noon July 1-Entry/Stabling less $50.00 with vet or doctors note & ONLY if place can be filled; After noon July 1- No refund. Competition cancellation-After expenses paid, money divided among competitors. Neg. Coggins required for out-of-state horses within 6 months (excluding OR).

2. Tentative Schedule:

Thurs: Cross-country course open 3 pm. Fri: Dressage- 8 am; BN/some N Cross-country 3:00 pm Sat: N-T-P-I Cross-country-8 am. Sun: Show Jumping-8:00 am.

3. Awards:

Ribbons to tenth. Many prizes & trophies awarded.

5. Stabling/Veterinarian:

Limited. $135/Stall from 11 am Thursday to 7 pm Sunday. Stall doors/initial bedding only provided. Earlier arrival by prior arrangement and additional fee.  Feed/Hay/Bedding, available for purchase on grounds. Primitive pole corrals in campground-$75. Veterinarian/Farrier: Mt. Vernon Large Animal, Dr. Ken Leisher, DVM (360) 424-4054. # will be posted at sec´y office and score board. Farrier on call. Sunrise Farrier 425-422-5949

7. Directions:

Address: At the intersection of Zylstra Rd. and Van Dam Rd. From Mount Vernon: I-5 to Anacortes-Whidbey Island exit to Hwy. 20. Follow signs to Oak Harbor. Continue thru Oak Harbor from Burger King approximately 2.5 miles then turn right on W. Hastie Lake Rd.  At T intersection turn left at West Beach Rd for approximately .8 miles.  Turn left on to Van Dam Rd.  Entrance to the Whidbey Island Pony Club Equestrian Facility is straight ahead at T intersection with Zylstra Rd.  Follow signs From South Whidbey: From pedestrian overpass in Coupeville, drive 3.5 miles to Libbey Rd. turn left go .6 miles and take a right on West Beach Rd.  for 1 1/2 miles. Turn right onto Van Dam Rd.  Entrance to the Whidbey Island Pony Club Equestrian Facility is straight ahead at T intersection with Zylstra Rd. Follow signs.

8. Dressage:

Test & arena sizes:AI-2006 USEF Advanced Test B – Std. I-2006 USEF Intermediate Test B-Std. P-2006 USEF Preliminary Test B-Sm. T-2006 USEF Training Test B-Sm. N-2006 USEF Novice Test B-Sm. BN-2006 USEF Beginner Novice Test B-Sm. Arenas: AI/OI/OP/T/N/BN=Grass.

9. Cross-Country:

AI, I-3200 m @ 550 mpm. P-2800 m @ 520 mpm. T-2400 m @ 420 mpm. N-2000 m @ 350 mpm. BN-2000 m @ 350 mpm/max height 2´6’. Terrain: Varied. Fields, woods, hills and water at all levels; BN will run XC on Friday afternoon, BN-Water optional. All courses: Moderate to challenging.

10. Other Information:

Rider limit 2 horses/level; 3 horses/entire event. Levels may be divided/combined as entries warrant; state preferences under the Eligible Section and birth date on entry. All dogs must be on a leash at all times. Food on grounds. CAN-AM CHALLENGE and traditional team competition: 3 or 4/team, best 3 scores count, all team members at same level. $5/team member. Friday and Saturday night Beer Garden. Saturday Night Dinner! Salmon & Vegetarian Main Dish FEAST. One dinner included in entry, $15 for each add´l dinner, send with entry. Complimentary Raspberry Shortcake extravaganza AND to work off all that shortcake... come dance the night away at the Mardi Gras in July, Masquerade/Costume (or not) “Ball’ complete with Mardi Gras Parade and Volleyball championship! Ice for sale on site.
