Fees:
Event fees directory – see individual section for details. Draw checks to Abbe Ranch. Entry: All divisions: $185 OD postmark; after OD add $30 (section 1) Roof Stabling: $50/$70/$80 (section 1&5) Number deposit: $20.00 (separate check) from everyone; clean-up/damage: $40.00 (separate check) from everyone.
1. Entries:
Entry fee includes 10x20 pen, if stable-form requested, party and $25 NR office fee. All entry forms must be on one sheet, 8 1/2 x 11 size. Copy both sides. Double entries: Not accepted. All competitors must be USEA members. Refunds: Before C.D.- Less $25 non-refundable office fee. Withdrawals must be in writing. After C.D.-No refund. Changes: Before C.D. - $15 change fee and new entry form. After C.D.- Any changes require new entry form and $25 change fee. Competition cancellation-No refund. Coggins not required. No grounds or camping fee. (Do not include any membership or non-member fees in check to Abbe Ranch . Write a separate check and include with appropriate application which you should find on USEF or USEA websites.)
2. Tentative Schedule:
Thurs: Cross-country course open for inspection-3 pm. Fri: Horses may arrive-1 pm; Volunteer briefing-2 pm; Dressage for IP & P-3 pm; Refreshments-6 pm; Official Cross-country course walk & briefing-6:30 pm. Sat: Dressage Volunteer briefing-7 am; T, N, BN dressage-8 am; Jump judge briefing-9 am; Timer briefing-10 am; Cross-country-11 am; Lawn Party-4 pm. Sun: Volunteer briefing-7 am; Show jumping-8 am; end of Competition-around 3 pm.
3. Awards:
Ribbons to 12th place, USEA medals & about $3,000 in donated prizes. Nine perpetual trophies= IP, P, T, NSr, NJr, N Dressage, BN Horse, BN Pony, Pony Club.
4. Starting Times:
Alphabetical & numerical ride times plus information riders & supporters need to know will be emailed approximately 10 days before competition.
5. Stabling/Veterinarian:
All on grounds with stall doors for duration (1 pm Fri. to 7 pm Sun.). Free 10x20 outside metal pipe pen; request with stabling form. Or roofed stall with first bedding, 10x10 (red shed)=$50, 12x12 (yellow barn)=$70 or 12x12 (tent barn)=$80. Send stabling form (indicate roofed stall or outside pen and type of stall preferred) to entry secretary. Stable manager: Lee Anne Thomas, 303-838.-7843 (after 10 am). 6. Accommodations:
Within 15 miles: Best Western Inn, (303) 814-8800, Holiday Inn Express, (303) 660-9733. Quality Inn, (303) 660.-2222. Camping & showers: CRC.-6 mi., (303) 681.-3169. On site campers: No hookups, fires, or dogs.
7. Directions:
Address: 9998 Perry Park Rd., Larkspur, CO 80118. Larkspur located between Denver & Colorado Springs. From I-25 going South: Exit 173 Larkspur on DC 53 (Spruce Mountain Rd.) south for 1 mile. Right (west) at stop sign on DC 60 (Perry Park Ave.) for 3 miles. Sharp left (south) at Yield sign on DC 105 (Perry Park Rd.) for 1 mile. Abbe Ranch is on left (east). From I-25 going North: Exit 172 (Lake Gulch Rd.) Left under interstate for 1/4 mile. Left (south) at Tee .- DC 53 (Spruce Mountain Rd.). As above.
8. Dressage:
Test & arena sizes: IP-2006 USEF Intermediate Test B-Standard. P-2006 USEF Preliminary Test A-Sm. T-2006 USEF Training Test A-Sm. N-2006 USEF Novice Test A-Sm. BN-2006 USEF Beginner Novice Test B-Sm. Arenas: Sand.
9. Cross-Country:
IP/ P.-2600 m @ 520 mpm. T.-2300 m @ 450 mpm. N.-2000 m @ 400 mpm. BN-1900 m @ 350 mpm. Terrain: Grassy. Altitude: 7000 ft. All courses: Average, horses with experience at levels. New tracks and jumps. Distances may be longer.
10. Other Information:
Cross.-country course always closed except for Abbe Ranch clinic. Prize list for clinic available from organizer & in MSEA omnibus. Work-days by appt., 9 am-4 pm. Send prize donations or money to buy prize with donor information (name, address, city, state, zip, phone #s, email) and 2 or more business cards to organizer by June 1. NO DOGS ALLOWED EVER, not even in your car! |
