Fees:
Draw checks to Spring Bay Horse Trials, L.L.C. Any fees received after Mar 18 must be either via Money Order or Cashiers Check. Returned checks will be assessed a $30 fee. Please check the fee calculation for your entry carefully. Computational errors or errors triggered by automated entry processes, which result in a refund due, will be charged a $25 handling charge. Should the difference remaining in the refund total be $10 or less, the remainder will be donated to the XC jump fund. 1. Entries:
Entry fees include a $25 non-refundable office fee. Do NOT add the fee to total again! Double entries: Not accepted. BN competitors who are not USEA members must pay extra $25 fee with entry. If oversubscribed, priority to USEA members. Faxed entries are not accepted until the complete entry arrives by mail. $15 lost pinny-no deposit. Refunds: Before C.D.-Less $25 non-refundable office fee; After C.D.-No refund/stabling-No refund. Any changes requested after C.D. made only as schedule permits & will incur a $30 add´l fee (incl stabling changes). Competition cancellation-No refund. Neg. Coggins dated Apr 14, 2007 or later must accompany entry. “Negative’ must show clearly & horse´s info must match entry information. Health papers within 30 days required to bring a horse onto the KY Horse Park or Masterson Station Park grounds if out of state. In-state horses now also need Health certificate. CARRY HEALTH PAPERS WITH HORSE & READ #10 “OTHER INFO BELOW.’ Be sure to get parking pass for weekend when you check in at KY Horse Park. Riders who are not stabled will also need to purchase a trailer parking pass. See website www.kyevents.net for details. Please provide legible Email for communications and questions.
2. Tentative Schedule:
Competitors´ packets available before Dressage, Fri Apr 11 and Sat AM Apr 12 at sec´y office-Masterson St. Park. Sun. sec´y office located at KY Horse Park. Fri: Dressage (Masterson Station Park) all Prel. XC courses open 3P Thursday. Sat: Dressage T, N and BN levels (Masterson Station Pk)-8A; Cross-country (Masterson St. Park)-8A P/T; 10A N/BN. Sun: Show jumping all levels (KY Horse Pk)-8A. Tentative schedule: Be sure to check the website often for updates and changes!
3. Awards:
Trophy & 8 ribbons per division. High Point dressage ribbon awarded in each division in memory of Garth Harrison, long time announcer for Ha´ Penny Horse Trials & Spring Bay Horse Trials.
4. Starting Times:
Available one week before event at www.kyevents.net. Ride times will be mailed only if SASE is provided.
5. Stabling/Veterinarian:
$100 Thu-Sat nights; $70 Fri-Sat nights only; $40 for single night. Tack stall same as above. 800 perm. stalls on grounds at KY Horse Park. Feed/Hay/Bedding available for purchase. 7. Directions:
KY Horse Park of Lexington-Ironworks Pike From I-75: Exit 120. From other Hwys: Watch for “KY Horse Park’ signs. Enter at main gate entrance of park. Drive to stables-directions to Masterson St. Park available at stabling. If coming directly to Masterson St. Park: Take exit 115 off I-75/64 toward Lexington on 922 Newtown Pike to New Circle Rd. #4 & around Lexington toward airport to exit 7, Hwy 421/Leestown Rd north to Masterson Station Park on right; or take Midway exit off I-64 to 421/Leestown Rd. Southeast to Masterson Station Park on left just outside Lexington.
8. Dressage:
Test & arena sizes: All Prel -2006 USEF Preliminary Test B-Sm. All Trng -2006 USEF Training Test B-Sm. All Novice -2006 USEF Novice Level Test B-Sm. All BN-2006 USEF Beginner Novice Level Test B-Sm. Arenas: Sand and Grass.
9. Cross-Country:
OP/P(Am)/JYOP-3200 m @ 520 mpm. All T-2400 m @ 450 mpm. All N-2000 m @ 350 mpm. All BN-2000 m @ 300 mpm/height-2´7’-12-18 fences. Terrain: Rolling hills, mostly open; water & up/down banks at all levels. All courses: Average for horses with some experience at this level. Beginning of the year course; but NOT a move-up course.
10. Other Information:
Cross-country course closed Feb 26. Entries limit 300. Rider limit 2 horse/level; 3 entire event. Levels may be divided/combined if entries warrant. Food on grounds days of event. Dogs must be leashed. Entries considered complete must include Coggins dated Apr 14, 2007 or later. USEA/USEF # where applicable, original signatures & fees attached. Prelim. Level: Copy of USEF card(s) for 2008 required. New Award initiated in 2000 for Best Adult Amateur score in Preliminary (Am) Div. for Amateur riders over 21yo. See USEA/USEF rulebooks for definition of Amateur rider. Non-members of USEF must include USEF non-member fee at Prel. This includes rider/owner/trainer.. All fees are deposited upon receipt (returned checks will incur an additional $30 fee). Equine Canada #´s accepted for Canadian riders in lieu of USEA and USEF #´s, copy of Equine Canada card required Over payments of $10 or less will be donated to Masterson Equestrian Trust Foundation: benefits equestrian grounds and facilities at Masterson Station Park Withdrawals must be in writing and received by 9 pm March 25. No phone withdrawals accepted.. Horse or Rider substitutions made only within division. Entries wishing to change divisions must do so before C.D.-March 25. Free snack buffet party for volunteers/competitors-sec´y office Masterson St. Park-end of competition Sat. while waiting for final score posting.
