Legendary German eventer Peter Thomsen is coming to the United States, and Jonathan and Jennifer Holling are hosting Thomsen at their Willow Run Farm in Ocala, Florida, for a two-day clinic December 16-17, 2017.

Thomson, Georgia - The United States Eventing Association (USEA) is saddened to report an equine fatality in the Preliminary/Training division at the Pine Top Thanksgiving Horse Trials. Avery Lewis and her 16-year-old Thoroughbred gelding, The Manx Man (also known as Toby), fell at fence 8, a log hogs back. The rider was transported for medical evaluation and released. Toby was treated on site by the event veterinarian and transported to the University of Georgia Veterinary Teaching Hospital for observation.

The USEA office will be closing at 2:00 p.m. EST on Wednesday, November 22 and will be closed on Thursday, November 23 and Friday, November 24 in observance of Thanksgiving. The office will also be closed for Christmas on Friday, December 22 and Monday, December 25. For the New Year's holiday the office will be closed on Monday, January 1, 2018. The USEA staff will return emails and phone calls at the earliest possible time. The United States Eventing Association (USEA) is saddened to share news of the passing of Hank Rothwell on November 3, 2017, following a non-competition related riding accident.Hank Rothwell is a former chair of the USEA Foundation Board of Trustees (formerly known as the USEA Endowment Trust) from 2004 – 2009. He was also a member of the USEA Board of Governors in 2004 and 2005. Hank and his wife, Midge Rothwell, were generous donors to the USEA and the USEA Foundation. He touched many lives in the eventing community and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
